Teaching and Learning Specialist – Collective ed.

Not your average Secondary Education Specialist positions…

Beacon Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation supporting young people to successfully transition from education to further studies and/or employment and we are seeking three full‑time passionate people for our new Teaching and Learning Specialist – Collective ed. positions.

The Collective ed. initiative supports schools and industry, families and the community, working together to co-construct authentic learning, work exposure and career exploration opportunities. This action research project will test new ideas and interventions and evaluate their success in contributing to raising student attainment levels. The project provides significant resourcing to participating schools to reach the ambitious target of achieving a 90% Year 12 attainment of a Tasmanian Certificate of Education or equivalence. This includes focussed project support, three school-based resources and independent design facilitation, developmental evaluation and summative reporting.

With business and community positions filled, there are now three Teaching and Learning Specialist positions available, with one each at Ulverstone High School, Bayview Secondary College and Jordan River Learning Federation.

  • Are you an insightful and innovative Educator who wants to challenge the status quo of education?
  • Can you make connections between the world of work and education?

If so, we’d love to hear from you!
